Kara has more than 16 years of healthcare solutions experience, with an extensive background in specialty pharmaceutical business development, market access, and strategic operational support.

As Vice Preisdent, GPO Enablement and Services, Kara is responsible for the development and execution of cross-functional expansion and support needs affecting GPO customers and enabling AmerisourceBergen’s GPO commercial growth strategy. 

She previously served as Senior Director, GPO Program Management, supporting the GPO growth strategy, and Director, Corporate Accounts, where she provided consultative guidance and strategic support, overseeing corporate pharmaceutical contracting and account management. 

She is passionate about enhancing the quality of healthcare through improved design and brought that forward-thinking sensibility to her role in aligning strategic partnerships to deliver continuity of growth and patient care. Her work has focused on strategic account management and consulting in the areas of specialty pharmacy market access and optimization, payer and PBM solution development, and aligned outcomes in the areas of managed care, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and wholesale distribution.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences and a Master of Business Administration. When not at work, Kara is an avid outdoorswoman and competitive endurance athlete. She enjoys sea to summit exploration with her family and dog.
